Lock Your Settings for a Month

Most players lose rank points to a problem they created themselves: they never stop changing their settings. A bad lobby leads to a new sensitivity. A lost duel leads to a new layout. After a month they have played 200 matches on 12 different setups and mastered none.

Why a month

Your aim is built from thousands of tiny corrections your hands make without thinking. Those corrections are tied to one specific setup. Change the sensitivity by even a small amount and the old corrections are wrong, so you go back to thinking about aim instead of the fight.

The lock-in rules

  1. Record everything first. Camera, ADS, gyro, button positions and sizes, graphics frame rate.
  2. Pick your setup deliberately, then play on it for 30 days. A setup that is 90 percent right and used consistently beats a perfect setup you keep changing.
  3. Allow one exception: a real hardware problem, such as a cracked screen zone or a new phone with a different screen size.
  4. Review at day 30, not on a bad night. Change one thing, record why, and lock again.

Judge the setup by the right numbers

Do not judge a setup by one match. Compare your average damage per match and your first-duel win rate across the whole month. If those climbed or stayed flat while you learned, the setup is fine.

Drill of the day

Open the Settings Tracker, save your current sensitivity and layout values, and set a calendar reminder for 30 days from today. Until then, no changes.
